Cecily strong

  Cecily Legler Strong was born on February 8, 1984. She is an American actor and comedian. Strong is best known for her part as an Saturday Night Live cast member from 2012 to 2022. She is also the longest-tenured female in the show's previous. Strong was hired for SNL while performing improv in The Second City in Chicago and then moved to Los Angeles following her graduation from CalArts. She currently has a starring part in the Apple TV+ musical comedy series Schmigadoon! She is also co-producing the show (2021-2024).



 



 She also voiced The Awesomes (2013 to 2015) in addition to acting in supporting roles in films like Ghostbusters as well as The Meddler. In 2015, she hosted the White House Correspondents' Dinner. Her first novel, This Will All End Soon Soon The book was published by Random House in 2021.



 



 For her work in Saturday Night Live, she was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series at the 72nd and 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards.



 



 Childhood and early life



 Strong was born in Springfield Illinois and grew up in Oak Park (an inner-ring suburb of Chicago). She is the daughter Penelope Strong and William "Bill" Strong, who were both Associated Press bureau chiefs and at the time of 2013, owned their own company for public relations. Penny Legler Strong is a nurse practitioner, having been employed in a variety of hospitals throughout the region. Strong's parents divorced. Strong was attracted by SNL from a young age. She enjoyed performing sketches with her friend as well as watching the old SNL commercials via VHS. "I had an old tape with the best commercials and I would wear it all day long." She also said that Phil Hartman was her hero.
